At the age of 12 he met Sam Samankika, who inspired him tob start sculpting in stone. He started working
as an assistent of Joe Mutasa at Chapungu gallery, Harare. After he did a workshop at the Japaneese artist
Assaya Masanya, he went to Belgium with Joe Mutasa. They had an exposition there an sold everything, and as a bonus
they got some more assignments.
